EUSKADIKO ORKESTRA

Euskadiko Orkestra is today a leading symphony orchestra in Spain with a growing international profile. Its activity reaches thousands of people through live concerts and digital platforms. A robust, well-structured programme sees the Orchestra perform four permanent symphonic cycles in its home venues: Bilbao (Euskalduna Palace), Vitoria-Gasteiz (Jesús Guridi Conservatoire), San Sebastián (Kursaal Auditorium) and Pamplona (Baluarte Auditorium). Its DNA includes reaching diverse audiences through chamber-music, family and schools’ cycles, together with an expanding social programme focused on inclusion.

Its extensive discography—centred largely on the symphonic output of Basque composers—highlights recent releases devoted to the orchestral works of Maurice Ravel and Gabriel Erkoreka on the Finnish label Ondine, praised by specialist media worldwide from Japan and Australia to the United States.

As the orchestra of the Basque Country, Euskadiko Orkestra also appears in the seasons of ABAO Bilbao Opera, Musika-Música, Quincena Musical, Zinemaldia, the Ravel Festival, Musikaste and many more. Internationally, over its 43-year history the Orchestra has toured more than twenty times in countries including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Great Britain, Italy, Poland, Argentina, Brazil and Chile.

Euskadiko Orkestra reaches its 70th operatic title in collaboration with ABAO Bilbao Opera.
