The operatic genre is one of the areas in which she has specialized, thanks to programs such as Viaje al centro de la operar (Journey to the Center of Opera) and Capriccio on Radio Clásica and to teaching training courses, since 2021, at the Teatro Real in Madrid. She is a professor of the Degree in Musicology at the Alfonso X El Sabio University, an active pianist dedicated to the commented concert format, and author of the book on music and words, Cantar el infinito (Singing the Infinite).

He is a professor in the Department of Human Sciences at the University of La Rioja, where he teaches performance, dramaturgy, and discology in the Master's Degree in Musicology. He has published articles and monographs in various specialized journals and publishing houses, and has contributed to the revised editions of the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians and the Oxford Companion to Music. In addition to his teaching and research, he is active as a music critic and popularizer. He writes reviews and opinion pieces on classical music for the newspaper El País and a column on recordings for the magazine Scherzo, where he also publishes the blog "Canon alla rovescia."
