SYNOPSIS

In this musical tale, a rag doll ballerina wakes up at midnight and invites all the toys that live with her inside the box to dance. A teddy bear, a wheeled elephant, a dachshund, a crocodile and many others appear. Among them, the doll prefers Polichinela, the popular glove puppet, because he is the best dancer. The doll and Polichinela become a couple, but he does not treat her well, and a wooden toy soldier intervenes, unleashing a battle between toys using dice, balls and paper wads. It is all a game, but the little soldier ends up broken and in pieces. The doll helps and saves him, and finally, love blossoms between them.
Puppets and objects inspired by real toys from the 1920s and 30s, shadow theatre, video projections, a pianist and an actress come together in this landmark 20th-century musical work, presented in a contemporary version for today鈥檚 children that highlights values such as non-violence and the power of love.
Narration in Spanish.
