SABRINA GÁRDEZ

Born in Havana and trained at the Conservatorio del Liceu in Barcelona, soprano Sabrina Gárdez is one of today’s most promising young voices. Winner of First Prize and the Amics de l’Òpera de Sabadell Award at the Concurs Josep Palet de Martorell (2022), she has continued her training with singers such as Juan Diego Flórez, Sonia Ganassi, Luciana Serra and Ernesto Palacio.

In the 2024–25 season she will make her debut at Gran Teatre del Liceu as Lisa (La sonnambula), at Teatro de la Maestranza in Iphigénie en Tauride, and as Musetta (La bohème) with Òpera de Catalunya. She will also tour Spain with Carmina Burana alongside ADDA Simfònica and the Orfeón Donostiarra.

Her career includes appearances at the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro (Madama Cortese in Il viaggio a Reims), the Bottega d’Opera of the Donizetti Festival in Bergamo (Il diluvio universale and Il piccolo compositore di musica), and in recitals at the Musika-Música Festival in Bilbao, the Juventudes Musicales circuit and the Rossini Festival.

Passionate about chamber repertoire, she has given recitals at venues such as the Círculo del Liceu, Círculo Ecuestre and the Reial Acadèmia de Belles Arts de Sant Jordi, and collaborated in series such as Les Veus del Monestir and the Casa Elizalde season in Barcelona.
