Acclaimed for the beauty of her voice, flawless technique and musicality, soprano Nadine Sierra is one of the outstanding singers of her generation. Winner of the Richard Tucker Award (2017) and the Metropolitan Opera’s Beverly Sills Artist Award (2018), she has made acclaimed debuts at houses including the Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Opéra National de Paris and Staatsoper Berlin. Her recordings There’s a Place for Us (2018) and Made For Opera (2022) were released by Deutsche Grammophon.
In the 2024–25 season she made her debut at the Wiener Staatsoper as Juliette (Roméo et Juliette), and returned to the Metropolitan Opera as Gilda (Rigoletto), to Teatro Real as Violetta (La traviata), to the Liceu as Violetta, Amina (La sonnambula) and Maria (West Side Story) under Gustavo Dudamel, to the Opéra de Paris as Manon, and to Teatro di San Carlo as Juliette.
She has sung with orchestras such as the Berliner Philharmoniker, Philadelphia Orchestra and Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, and has appeared in recital at Carnegie Hall, Teatro Real, Grand Théâtre de Genève, and on tour with Andrea Bocelli. She has featured on the cover of Classical Singer and in media such as Vogue and Opera News.
Sierra studied at Mannes College and was an Adler Fellow at San Francisco Opera, with which she maintains close artistic ties.
