JORGE RODRÍGUEZ-NORTON

Born in Asturias, Jorge Rodríguez-Norton began his musical training in piano before turning to opera singing, graduating from the Joaquín Rodrigo Conservatory in Valencia. Since then, he has pursued an active career in Spain and abroad, appearing at the Opéra de Lausanne, Ópera de Oviedo, Palacio Euskalduna and Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao, Palau de la Música in Valencia, Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid and the Bayreuth Wagner Festival, among others.

He has collaborated with renowned stage directors such as Emilio Sagi, Giancarlo del Monaco, David McVicar, Damiano Michieletto, Gustavo Tambascio, Paco Azorín and Lluís Pasqual, and with distinguished conductors including Valery Gergiev, Marco Armiliato, Evelino Pidò, Josep Vicent, Elena Herrera, Maximiano Valdés, Paolo Arrivabeni and Guillermo García Calvo.

His repertoire covers a wide variety of styles and eras, with particular focus on Italian and German repertoire. Notable roles include Roh (Das Rheingold), Goro (Madama Butterfly), Doctor Caius (Falstaff), Normanno (Lucia di Lammermoor), the Young Sailor (Tristan und Isolde) and Ruiz (Il trovatore), in which he has displayed both vocal solidity and stage versatility.
