EMILIO L脫PEZ

Born in Valencia in 1982, Emilio L贸pez began his musical training as a flautist before studying singing at the Jos茅 Iturbi Conservatory. He holds a qualification in Cultural Management and a Master鈥檚 degree in Screenwriting and Film Directing. Since 2006 he has pursued a career as stage manager, assistant and associate director at the Palau de les Arts, collaborating with directors such as Pier鈥橝lli, Jonathan Miller, Emilio Sagi, Francisco Negr铆n, La Fura dels Baus, Robert Lepage and Graham Vick, in venues such as Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Op茅ra de Bordeaux and Op茅ra de Toulouse.

He has worked with conductors including Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Chailly, Alberto Zedda and Fabio Biondi, and with singers such as Pl谩cido Domingo, Jonas Kaufmann, Maria Guleghina, Carlos 脕lvarez, Angela Meade, Gregory Kunde and Daniela Barcellona.

He made his debut as stage director in 2017 with La malquerida at Teatros del Canal. Since then, he has signed productions such as P铆ramo e Tisbe, Madama Butterfly, Turandot, Norma (ABAO Bilbao Opera), Don Giovanni with Carlos Saura, and has collaborated on productions of The Fiery Angel, Jeanne d鈥橝rc au b没cher, Macbeth and La boh猫me.

Recent projects include Mahagonny Songspiel, La traviata, Carmen, Anna Bolena, Madama Butterfly and Turandot at major Spanish festivals and theatres.
