Pauliina Linnosaari *

Finnish soprano Pauliina Linnosaari makes her debuts in the 2026/27 season with the SWR Radio Orchestra and at the Bregenz Festival, among other engagements. In 2024 she sang Madame Lidoine in Dialogues des Carmélites for the first time at the Finnish National Opera in Helsinki, a role she returned to in the 2025/26 season at the Staatstheater Karlsruhe. At this theatre she has enjoyed success as Elsa in Lohengrin, Elisabeth in Tannhäuser, the Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier, Tatiana in Eugene Onegin, Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, and in the title roles of Rusalka, Tosca and Salome. She recently made a successful debut at Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf-Duisburg as Tschang-Haitang in Zemlinsky’s Der Kreidekreis. Guest appearances have taken her to Theater Basel, Theater Bremen, Oper Chemnitz, Salzburger Landestheater and the Savonlinna Opera Festival. From 2017 to 2023 she was a member of the Saarländisches Staatstheater, where her roles included Mathilde, Leonora, Mimì, Marietta, Médée, Hanna Glawari, Liù and Micaëla. Trained in Finland and the United States, she studied at the Sibelius Academy, Metropolia University of Music and Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. She was a Matti Salminen Foundation scholarship holder at the Finnish National Opera.
