Lighting

Ion Aníbal López has worked professionally in the performing arts since 1990. He began his career as a lighting technician and later combined technical direction and coordination with lighting design for theatre, dance, opera and zarzuela. Throughout his career he has worked with directors including Robert Wilson, Gerardo Vera, Ernesto Caballero, Daniel Veronese, Claudio Tolcachir, David Serrano, Adolfo Marsillach, María Ruiz, José Luis Moreno, Kepa Junkera, Fernando Soto and Noelia Tejerina, among others. His credits include Mother Courage, a design created with Juan Gómez-Cornejo for which he received the 2010 ADE Award for Lighting Design, as well as El laberinto mágico, Life of Galileo, Jardiel, un escritor de ida y vuelta, Bajo terapia, Cartas de amor, Tierra de fuego, La rosa del azafrán, La tabernera del puerto, Onán and Manolita Chen. In the operatic field, he has also designed the lighting for Lohengrin, a production by Ópera de Oviedo and Auditorio de Tenerife staged by Guillermo Amaya.
