Belgian soprano Louise Foor enjoyed an active international season in 2025/26. She made her debut at the Opéra national de Paris —Bastille— as Gerhilde in Richard Wagner’s Die Walküre, and appeared for the first time at the Salzburg Easter Festival as Woglinde in Das Rheingold, a role she also performed with the Berliner Philharmoniker. She also made her Spanish debut singing Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony in Valladolid. In the 2024/25 season she sang Lisette in Puccini’s La rondine in Metz, and Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels. In 2023/24 she was a member of the Opera Studio at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich and made her debut as Leïla in Bizet’s Les pêcheurs de perles at the Opéra National de Bordeaux. She has previously appeared at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie, Opéra National du Capitole de Toulouse, Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg, Grand Théâtre de Genève and Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège. She was an artist-in-residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Waterloo. Winner of the Virgilijus Noreika International Singing Competition in Vilnius, she has also received awards in competitions in Germany, Austria, Italy and Romania. She trained at IMEP in Namur and completed her Master’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin with Anna Samuil.
