A graduate in Composition, Orchestration and Music Pedagogy, and Prizewinner at graduation in both Singing and Composition, Fernando Latorre also pursued piano and viola studies, refining his craft with Franco Corelli, Jaume Aragall and Alfredo Kraus.

His operatic career includes L’elisir d’amore (Dulcamara) in Pamplona, Così fan tutte (Don Alfonso) in Irún, Il matrimonio segreto (Geronimo) at the Teatro Arriaga, Pepita Jiménez (Vicario) and Mendi Mendiyan (Kaiku) at the Kursaal, La bohème, Andrea Chénier and Otello at the Liceu, as well as Don Carlo and Madama Butterfly in El Escorial and San Sebastián.

A frequent guest with ABAO Bilbao Opera, he has appeared in Roméo et Juliette (Comte Capulet), La bohème (Alcindoro & Benoît), Tosca (Sacristan), Rigoletto (Monterone), Otello (Lodovico), Andrea Chénier (Mathieu), Manon, La fanciulla del West, Jérusalem, Les contes d’Hoffmann and Gianni Schicchi, among others.

Recent performances include Don Giovanni (Commendatore), Il barbiere di Siviglia (Basilio), Fuenteovejuna (Flores), Don Pasquale, Oedipus Rex (Creon), Seven Deadly Sins (Mother), and new productions of Tosca, Rigoletto, Roméo et Juliette and La bohème in Oviedo, Málaga, Tenerife, A Coruña and Mahón.
