Born in Bilbao, he received his musical training at the Bilbao Municipal School of Music and the Bilbao Conservatoire, before completing his vocal studies at the Barakaldo Conservatoire under Itziar de Unda. He has performed in recitals and a wide range of lyric productions, including opera, zarzuela and oratorio.
A member of the Bilbao Opera Chorus since the 1995/96 season, he has also performed a number of roles in ABAO Bilbao Opera productions, including Madama Butterfly, Don Pasquale, Pagliacci and La bohème, among others.
