Ricardo de Cala Castillo
Ricardo de Cala is one of Spain’s most distinguished opera communicators and advocates. A lecturer, critic, and specialist commentator, he has collaborated with leading media outlets including ABC, Cadena SER, Spain’s National Radio (RNE), and Scherzo magazine. He has directed and hosted a variety of programs devoted to classical music and opera on Radio Clásica and Radio 5 and currently presents Maestros Cantores on Radio Clásica. His career also includes promoting opera internationally as a member of the European Cultural Parliament, alongside an extensive activity as a speaker and music educator. He holds a Law degree, a PhD, and an MBA, and has also developed a successful career as a university professor, entrepreneur, consultant, and business executive.
