Igor Peral
The Navarran tenor Igor Peral began his vocal training in his homeland, continuing his studies in San Sebastián, Bordeaux and at the Escuela Superior de Canto in Madrid. His career has been notable both in the field of opera and in the Spanish lyrical repertoire, establishing himself as one of the most versatile voices of his generation.
He has performed leading roles in zarzuelas such as El caserío, La tabernera del puerto, Los gavilanes, Luisa Fernanda, La generala, La del manojo de rosas, Katiuska and Casado y soltero. In the field of opera, he has participated in titles such as Rigoletto, Un ballo in maschera, La bohème and La traviata on stages such as the Baluarte Auditorium, the Kursaal Auditorium and the Quincena Musical de San Sebastián. He made his debut at ABAO Bilbao Opera with Salome by R. Strauss, and has also sung at the Teatro de la Maestranza as the protagonist of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.
He collaborates with ensembles such as the Luxembourg Philharmonia, the Zaragoza Symphony Orchestra, the ORCAM and the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, performing works such as Mozart’s Requiem, Rossini’s Petite messe solennelle and Mascagni’s Missa di Gloria. He has performed in venues such as the Grand Auditorium of the Philharmonie Luxembourg, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Seoul Arts Centre.
His recent and future engagements include Philip Glass’s Orphée at the Teatro Real, Carmen at Baluarte, Juan José at the Teatro de la Zarzuela, Jommelli’s Requiem at the FIAS and Petite messe solennelle at the Auditorio Nacional.
