Heir to the most authentic tradition of Romantic bel canto, he is one of the most sought-after tenors in the world’s leading opera houses. He has performed more than thirty operatic and zarzuela roles, as well as an extensive catalogue of oratorios and symphonic-vocal works.
He continues to expand his repertoire, incorporating roles such as Alfredo (La Traviata), Riccardo (Un ballo in maschera), the Duke (Rigoletto), Macduff (Macbeth), Manrico (Il Trovatore), Chevalier Des Grieux (Manon), Rodolfo (La Bohème) and Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly).
His international career has taken him to prestigious venues including the Metropolitan Opera, La Scala, Vienna Staatsoper, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Teatro Real, Bolshoi Theatre, Royal Opera House, Palau de Les Arts, Opéra National de Paris, ABAO Bilbao Opera, Teatro San Carlo, La Fenice, and Teatro Massimo.
He has collaborated with conductors such as Antonio Pappano, Zubin Mehta, Daniel Harding, Daniel Oren, Alberto Zedda, Nello Santi, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Carlo Rizzi, Evelino Pidò, Riccardo Frizza, and Gianluigi Gelmetti.
