OAIM:
We want to familiarize everyone – both young persons and older ones – with opera so that they understand it better and enjoy the emotions stirred up by music in its pure state.
ACTIVITIES:
Educational Talks
We show an educational video full of entertaining anecdotes which introduces the public to opera: singers, orchestra, choir, extras, set design...
Guided tours to see how an opera is staged
As we're shown round the dressing rooms and sets we feel as if we're starring in a big production, as we learn about the work that goes into putting on an opera.
Guided tours of pre-dress-rehearsals
Before the rehearsal begins, we go behind the curtain to where make-up artists, dressmakers and machinists are putting their final touches to make sure everything's perfect, then we take our seats to enjoy the result.
ABAO Txiki (Opera for school parties)
The pupils are given a few lessons to prepare them for their visit to the opera, with interesting teaching materials, and then they attend a performance, chosen specially for them, during school time.
If you're interested in taking part in our teaching programme, fill in the registration formor call us on 94 435 51 00 extension nº 2, and together we'll start to discover opera.
